Mobile Food Pantry

On the first Wednesday of every month unless told differently, there is a mobile food pantry that pulls up next to Starbucks. They hold a ton of free donated food to feed people in need in Harrison. Though it pulls up at our school, it is flooded with non students, people who live in the area so the line ends up wrapping around the whole perimeter. Students have complained about this, it being a Wednesday so they have classes and can not attend or they cant wait on a 6 hour line to get expired food. That brings me to my next point, most of the food is expired and most students don't look at the date and get sick. They assume they wouldn't give college students bad food but that is something to be aware of when getting food at the pantry. The pantry of October just passed and sitting in our Starbucks I saw people lining up an hour before and each pantry I notice less and less students and more outside people.
