Starbucks Takes a Tumble!

Starting this semester and so on, Starbucks has stopped taking meal plans, this has caused all Purchase students to go into a frenzy. Multiple student I spoke to including myself even changed meal plans to have more flex and less meals. Starbucks has also hired less experienced workers that consistently get orders completely wrong. With that being said, in addition to students having to pay more to get their drinks, they are also not receiving the orders that they paid for. What is the best action to take? I asked some students and the general consensus is to deal with it. Maybe as we get further into the school year, things will improve but it is not looking good for our on campus Starbucks here at Purchase College.

 Advising week  Advising week ins upon us at Purchase college, this week is between Monday, November 6th to Friday November 10th. Within this week, advisors urge students to make advising appointments to create schedules for the upcoming registration for next semester. They ask that students come in with two ready made schedules, one that is ideal and one backup and the advisors role in this meeting is to confirm or deny that the schedule works. They could revise and explain the future semesters classes and what would be good to take now. This week is very important for students since scheduling is very difficult especially for upperclassmen who are thinking about how on track they are.
